Amsterdam Nightlife - Amsterdam Bars Clubs Nightlife
Club 8, AmsterdamBars, Pubs, and Clubs in Amsterdam

As 24 hours cities go, Amsterdam pretty much wrote the original rule book. Even today it's up there with the major players, and the prices are too.
The bar and club scene is so diverse it will cater for eveything you want and even things you didn't know you wanted.

Amsterdam has a number of good clubs and new ones are opening all the time. Some of the most famous are The Paradiso located at Weteringschans 68, and The Melkweg located at Lijnbaansgracht 234. Amsterdam's biggest and most famous club is Escape which is located on Rembrandtplein. The club runs different nights each month but has a regular Saturday ‘Chemistry’ night, which is famous and hugely popular. The queues outside can be huge and getting in is not guaranteed. A group of guys together will not get in. Best ask a girl in the queue if you can go in with her.

A few other regular hot spots are Sinners / Heaven located at Wagenstraat 37, and the now famous Panama located at Oostelijke Handelskade 4 in the docks area of the city at the back of central station - a new up-and-coming warehouse district.

Club More located at Rozengracht 133 is an exclusive club operated by the owners of the really famous Supper Club restaurant chain, with the same chic feel about it and attracting the "It" crowd.
Bulldog, AmsterdamBeer lovers try the De Wildman, Nieuwezijds located at Kolk 3, which has a selection of over 200 different bottled beers from all over Europe. Sports fanatics can take there pick from some 15 screens at the Satellite Sports Café, located on at Leidseplein 11. Whisky lovers should not miss stopping off at De Stil, Spuistraat 326, which has over 150 different single malts.

Jazz being very popular in Amsterdam has become home to several of the jazz greats and Amsterdam offers several good Jazz clubs. The most popular and famous ones are Bourbon Street Jazz and Blues Club located at Leidsekruisstraat 68, or the Bimhuis located at Oude Schans.
Red Light District, AmsterdamThere are several new places for a not to full on night out. Try Sugar Factory on Lijnbannsgracht or Bitterzoet (Spuistraat) for more funk and hip hop.
If your more of an all night clubber the legendary Melkweg, again on Lijnbannsgracht, or Paradiso, a converted church on Wetweingshans will see you through till dawn.
Cafe Wellington, AmsterdamAnd while the rest of the world wastes billions on an unending War on Drugs, Amsterdam decided that drug use is more a health problem than a criminal issue. Instead of locking up thousands of non violent people, the Dutch decided to turn a blind eye to “Coffee Shops” where small amounts of marijuana could be sold. The idea was to seperate smokers from criminals who would deal drugs if they were illegal.
What do you know "It works".
